Over so fast

My favorite tree on the Hill, in full bloom.

April is already over? That’s crazy talk. As my favorite month, I find this unacceptable.

Wasn’t it just last weekend that we were in Columbia hanging out with my crazy family? If it’s May, that means we are only a few short weeks away from baby girl No. 3.

Wonderful family time.

We checked some items off the D.C. bucket list, too, with a Virginia wine tour and a trip to Mt. Vernon.

A beautiful day at Mt. Vernon estates

I had some thought-provoking posts about being thankful and spiritual and whether blogging is self-centered.

And of course, I celebrated my birthday for about two weeks — with shoes, baseball, book club and a night out.

Oh right, and I went to the White House Correspondent’s Association dinner.

Although, I’ve already shared my life’s soundtrack (part one and two, with a new addition), I still have a playlist for April. Of course:

Time Waits for No One – Rolling Stones

Sigh No More – Mumford & Sons
Take Me As I Am – Wyclef Jean

Scar Tissue – Red Hot Chili Peppers
Hymn to the Sea – James Horner (Titanic)

My Little Town – Simon & Garfunkel
Way Out – Yeah Yeah Yeahs

We Are Young – Fun
Part of Me – Katy Perry
Feels so Close – Calvin Harris

And my whole playlist for the year is here on Spotify or you can see past posts here.

    April was a good month
